The challenge

A company with five business units and about 800 employees ran multiple ERP and accounting systems across them. Data was duplicated and re-keyed, there was no single source of truth, processes didn’t line up, and support was split across vendors who each said the problem was someone else’s. Extra staff had been hired just to keep the systems and manual processes running.

Leadership wanted to run as one company on one ERP, but had no in-house experience selecting, negotiating and deploying one.

Our approach

We acted as the company’s own advocate, independent of any software vendor. We built the path from evaluation to contract and drove it hard: requirements, vendor evaluation, selection and negotiation to a signed NetSuite contract in three and a half weeks, including integration scoping, a project charter, governance and a value-stream team.

We then led the implementation, managing resources, risks and process consolidation across all five units.

The outcome

NetSuite went live across all five business units in five months. Accounting is centralized and the books close in seven days. The separate ERP and accounting systems, their support costs and the manual spreadsheet reporting are gone, along with the extra staffing they needed.
