The challenge

A PE-backed, acquisition-driven automotive repair platform ran more than 100 locations with its data split between two systems: shop operations in Protractor and financials in NetSuite. Leadership couldn’t compare shops or spot underperformers, and account reconciliation got harder with every acquisition. Left alone, the reporting burden would have slowed the roll-up itself.

Our approach

We built an enterprise data warehouse on Azure that joins shop and NetSuite data across every location, with Power BI reporting from a single shop up to the whole business. We built general ledger and account reconciliation directly in Power BI, avoiding extra ERP licenses, and tuned the Azure environment for cost and refresh speed.

We trained the internal team on Azure and kept extending the platform as new locations were acquired and the chart of accounts changed.

The outcome

All 103 locations report from one source of truth across operations and finance, and reporting scales as new shops are added. Performance tuning cut Azure hosting costs by 44%.
