Supply chain and sourcing for a sporting goods manufacturer

Sourcing, supply chain and Lean work for a sporting goods manufacturer: global sourcing across nine sites, throughput cut to 3–5 days and a facility consolidation that added 40% capacity.

Headline result
$2.5M

tariff impact, down from $18M

The challenge

A sporting goods manufacturer faced $18M in tariff exposure, slow throughput and a footprint that couldn’t support its acquisition and growth plans.

Our approach

We worked across supply chain, sourcing, manufacturing and footprint: a tariff mitigation plan, global sourcing across nine sites, a Lean transformation on the production floor and a facility consolidation.

The outcome

Tariff impact fell from $18M to $2.5M. Global sourcing cut raw-material inventory by $4.5M on $35M of spend, Lean work brought throughput down to three to five days and released about $2.6M of inventory in five months, and the facility consolidation added 40% capacity for acquisitions and growth.
